The White House is one of the world's most famous buildings. It is the official residence of the President of the United States, recognized worldwide as a symbol of the prestige of the presidency. Built between 1792 and 1800, the sprawling 132-room mansion has been used as a home by every President.
President Obama was born in Hawaii on August 4, He is the son of a black man from Kenya and a white woman from Kansas. He and his wife, Michelle, are the proud parents of two daughters, Malia,10, and Sasha, 7. Obama graduated in Columbia University with a B.A. in political science. He also graduated Harvard Law School and was the first black president of the “Harvard Law Review”.
In 1997 he elected as a Illinois state senator, and in 2005 he elected to the United State Senate. He served as a professor at the university of Chicago Low School, teaching constitutional low. At the same time, he directed Illinois’s project vote- registering African-American in the state, and worked on board o directors of different foundations which were interactive with communities. Obama lived in Chicago and worked as a community organizer with a group of churches and was the director of the “Developing Communities Project”.
He spoke to a sea of cheering people, appearing to number well over a million, who packed the National Mall from the Capitol to the Washington Monument and beyond Mr. Obama became the 44th president of the United States on Tuesday, January 21st, 2009 before a massive crowd reveling in a moment of historical significance, and called on Americans to confront together an economic crisis.
