Our students will… Discover that singing together is a Jewish act Explore music across a full range of styles, from “traditional” melodies to brand new tunes Become familiar with texts from Tanach and other Jewish sources Connect to curricular themes Gain comfort with Hebrew Find places where music interacts with their Jewish lives Grow as leaders among their peers – LT Songleaders’ Workshop Participate actively in a positive Jewish experience

T’filah Kevah and Kavanah Kevah – the literal meaning of a prayer text – Students get routine practice with the weekday liturgy – Students begin to understand the flow of a worship service – Students grasp the core thematic content of each prayer Kavanah – intention and interpretation of prayer – Students have the opportunity to connect prayer to their own lives – Students help the Religious School Community create intention and meaning in a worship environment – Students gain comfort with prayer leadership
