Modifying a Chart Data series can be: –Added Click on the Select Data button in the Data group on the Design tab of Chart Tools Select the new data range including the new data series and its label and then press –Deleted Click on the corresponding data marker in the chart and press –Hidden Removing the data series from the chart is temporary. The data series reappears when the corresponding worksheet data row or column is unhidden

Formatting Chart Click on the part of the chart you want to format –Basically, you can click on any component in the chart –However, if you want to select a single data point (such as a column or a slice), you need to click on it twice, since the first click selects the whole data series of the data point Then click on the Format Selection button in the Current Selection group on the Layout tab of Chart Tools, or Right-click on the chart part and select Format in the shortcut menu
