Background Concept developed from the generic Frequent Values Entertainment book. Entertainment books trialled with 200 Carers in Carers invited to provide feedback and take part in focus group to develop the tailored Carers members program.

Aim To recognise and value the role of carers. To raise awareness within local communities & businesses. To identify hidden carers. To provide a booklet/card with concept of a brochure that carers will want to keep.

To provide opportunity for many carers to have access to a “frequent values program” and enjoy discounts at many participating businesses. To provide carers with ideas and suggestions for low cost family activities

Carers Membership Program Booklet provides useful contact numbers including emergency supports. Getting out and about in the region. How to get around on a budget, with transport and concession programs information. Information on Carer Respite & Carelink Services.

Carers receive personalised wallet card. Individual login number on card to access website. Web stats available on each user’s site visit.

FreeCall number on reverse of card Reminds carers how to access service

Website Designed and maintained by Entertainment Publications. Technical support for users experiencing difficulties accessing site.

Current Status Initial mail out January 2010 to 1700 carers across the BSW region. Regular updates of new registrations. August 2010, 3000 carers have received the carers membership packs. Costs for 2010 program $27,570 - $9.19 per carer.

Carers Feedback “We plan to make good use of it. The planning is as much fun as the going.” “ Thanks very much for the card and booklet, very much appreciated.”
