The Scheme of Slow Control System in BESIII Xie Xiaoxi Gao Cuishan

Ⅰ. The general prospect of the slow control and Environmental Monitoring in BES Both slow control system and environmental monitoring are very important and indispensable in the new BES system. The slow control system must meet the high- level demands of the overall design, overall environment and management in the new BES.

The slow control system, which is numerous and complicated, is mainly applied in experiment area and sub-detectors in BES Ⅲ. It will play an important role during the operational period of DAQ in the future. This system is composed of 3 main systems  temperature and humidity monitoring  gas system monitoring  controlling high-voltage system.

There are more than 14 kinds of physical parameters and 3000 channels of signals need to be collected and measured. Important parameters related both to the physics analysis and operation of BES Ⅲ will be stored in the operational database. Parts of these parameters will be sent to online computer system via network communication to be stored in permanent media.

Ⅱ. The main objects and Functions of the BES Ⅲ monitors and controls for slow control system

The main objects include temperature humidity system monitor and control of the mass flow meter for gas providing system control and monitor for HV DC AC magnet and magnetic field dangerous gas radiation monitor T-H control and monitor of hall and control room safety interlock and so on.

Ⅴ.Two kinds of bus scheme of data acquisition  The primitive bus scheme of data acquisition is USB/one wire bus  Lab window/PXI

The USB/one wire bus scheme can be applied in all the special facilities that can convert the physical parameters to voltage or electric current.

Those facilities which appended with one of these bus interface: such as GPIB 、 VME 、 VXI 、 RS232 、 CAMAC and so on can adopt the Labwindow/CVI software and NI multichannel card which is plugged in PC.

VIII.Some results have been obtained VIII.Some results have been obtained  The research of “one wire bus” About 70% of the 3000 channels of signal could be resolved by “one wire bus” scheme in BES Ⅲ slow control system. we have implemented temperature/humidity monitoring system with 84 nodes for temperature and 4 nodes for humidity in BES Ⅱ.

 Design for hardware and software of USB interface device. we have finished the design for hardware of USB/CAMAC crate controller, programmed drivers based on USB1.1 of CCU-USB and application program of USB-PC, using C51/VC++6.0/VB6.0. CCU-USB have been successfully used in the check system of shower counter of BES Ⅱ and scintillation counter hodoscope for testing BES Ⅲ muon detecter.

 The scheme of monitoring of gas system in BES Ⅲ slow control system

 Primary scheme of high-voltage monitoring and control system  All high-voltage modules will adopt SY1527 of CAEN  The modules can be connected with PCI interface card in PC via cables  Software of slow control system will adopt the program language of C++  Use one independent PC
