Data Driven In ASD, every 1% gain means approximately 680 more students reach proficiency. For example, from in science, math and language arts…

ASD Science Scores 2004 – 68.2% 2005 – 70.3% 2006 – 72.6% 2007 – 72.7% 2008 – 73.8% 2009 – 75.7% 2010 – 77.8% 2011 – 78.8% 2012 – 81.5% *13.3% increase, which means 9,044 more students reached proficiency!

ASD Math Scores 2004 – 75% 2005 – 76.4% 2006 – 78.5% 2007 – 77.3% 2008 – 79.1% 2009 – 75.1% 2010 – 76.5% 2011 – 79.6% 2012 – 80.6% *5.6% increase, which means 3,808 more students reached proficiency! (Even without taking into account the “resetting” of cut scores in 2009.)

ASD Language Arts Scores 2004 – 82.8% 2005 – 83.5% 2006 – 84.4% 2007 – 84.5% 2008 – 85.5% 2009 – 86.5% 2010 – 86% 2011 – 87.9% 2012 – 89.7% *6.9% increase, which means 4,692 more students reached proficiency!
