My Waypoint for Beatty

Saturday Field Trip We will collect waypoints at several SHORT stops on our way to Padre Island. Please be sure you do this at each stop and then write a short description for your Log Book We will be spending the major part of our time collecting field data on vegetation density in one location on Padre Island – This will include creating a “30 x 30” and a “60 x 60” meter test area

Back in the Lab - Monday BRING your GPS to the Lab – We will download your field trip data and create a simple map on top of the Corpus Christi remote sensed image. Look at your notes on spectral signatures and look at the location and size of the “pixel” you created with your GPS points. Does your spectral data concur with your visualization from the image of Padre Island?
