Lego are little construction pieces that you can build many things out of. There are many different shapes and sizes of lego pieces.

Lego was invented by Ole Kirk Christiansen in Approximately 20 billion Lego bricks are made every year in the Lego factory. A professor of mathematics calculated that there are over 915 million ways to combine six Lego bricks. The number of Lego bricks sold in a year would reach more than five times round the world. If you put the 340 million Minifigures in a line, it would reach 7,900 km

The world's tallest Lego tower is 28.7m high and is made with 465,000. If you build a column of 40 billion Lego bricks, it would reach the moon. The first Lego land park to open was in Billund, Denmark in Over 100 million Lego minifigures are sold every year. The first modern Lego minifigure was released in A minifigure is exactly as tall as 4 Lego bricks stuck together.

The word lego comes from the Danish word “Leg Godt” which means “play well”. The world record for the largest Lego castle used 400,000 bricks. Lego bricks can be in 53 different colours. It would take 1 billion minifigures lined up in a single row to wrap around the whole earth.
