Charades for Inferencing

Activity Purpose: What is an Inference? Used as an activity to pre-teach inferencing We use “clues” and “what we know” to make an inference

How Activity Works Give students premade flashcards with situations/actions (maybe include weekly vocabulary) Example: “The treasurer is stealing the King’s money” Inform students of the vocabulary word Student actor(s) act(s) out the situation on the card and classmates make inferences to guess the situation and the vocabulary word
