Take a tour of Lincolnshire’s Online Admissions System Welcome to Lincolnshire County Council’s online admissions system. This online tutorial will guide you through the stages of applying online for a school place. Next Please note that you can only apply online for Reception and Year 7 places for the upcoming September’s main intake. We do not currently accept online applications for Infant to Junior Transfer and midyear applications.

This is the School Admissions home page. Here you’ll find links to various information. Have a look around our website and read the useful information before you apply online. Next

Towards the bottom of the page you will see six different options. To begin applying online you will need to select ‘Apply Online for a School Place’ from the main menu. Next

This page provides useful information such as who can apply online and what useful documents you should read first. There are helpful guides, key dates and admissions policies available on this page under ‘Also of interest’. When you are ready to apply online you will need to follow the link at the bottom of the page. Next

If you are a new online applicant you can register here. After you have registered you log back into your account here. Please remember your username and password, otherwise you will not be able to log back on and view your offer. Next

This is where you can set up an account so you can apply for a school place. You will need to enter a username and password. If you have an address you can enter it here. If you enter an address you will receive an confirming we have received your online application. Next

If you need to apply for a Reception place you can set your account up 3 weeks before the application process opens. If you enter an address we will let you know when the system opens for applications. If you are applying for a secondary place you can register and apply straight away. Next

The system will check to see if your child is the correct age for the current admissions round. If you are applying for a secondary school place it will also check that you are living in Lincolnshire. Next

Next you will be asked to enter your details, including your name, address and telephone numbers. You will also be asked to select a security question and answer. Make sure you remember your question and answer. Next

When you have added your details you will be able to add your child’s details. To add information you will need to select the “Add Child’s Details” button. Next

Here you will add your child’s name, date of birth and gender… Next

…if you are applying for a Secondary school you will be able to enter your child’s present school. Remember to declare all the information is correct, otherwise you will not be able to complete your application. Next When you have completed this section you can then select “Save Details and Proceed to Add Preferences”.

Here you can apply for up to 3 schools. You can amend these schools any time before the closing date. Towards the top of the screen there is a list of schools that you may get transport to. Next

This is where you can select your preferred schools. The first drop down list contains all the schools in Lincolnshire. From the drop down list pick your first preference school and select the Add School button. You will need to use this list for all of your preferences if they are Lincolnshire schools. If you would like to apply for a school which is not In Lincolnshire select the county the school is in from the drop down. Next

If you are applying for a school outside Lincolnshire, select the county and the schools will then appear in the next drop down. From the second drop down menu select your preferred school and click the ‘Add School’. You will need to use this option for any of your preferences which are not in Lincolnshire. Next

After selecting each preference you can enter any reasons. If you are applying to a school on medical grounds or because of religion or faith please tick the appropriate boxes and follow the instructions. Next

You can also enter details of brothers or sisters who will be at the school when your child is due to start. If there is more than one sibling at the school, please enter details of the youngest. When you have finished entering your reasons select the “Update” button. If you have no reasons for your preference you will need to select “Update” to continue. Next

After entering your preferences you will return to this page. Here you can change the order of your preferences or delete preferences. Next

At the bottom of the page you will be able to submit your application. You must submit your application for it to be processed. Remember to agree with the declaration, otherwise you will not be able to submit your application. Next

When you have submitted your application a confirmation will appear on screen stating if your application has been received successfully. If you have entered an address you will receive a confirmation too. If you need to apply for more than one child you can return to the ‘My Applications’ page and select ‘Add Another Child’. Next

Your online application will be received by School Admissions. Your application data will be sent electronically to all of your preferred schools. You can update your application anytime before the closing date. Please remember to save any changes you make, otherwise we will not receive your update. You will not be required to resubmit. Shortly before the offer date you will receive an reminding you when the outcome of your application will be available online.
