7 What types of emergencies could occur? Intentional or Man Made:  Bomb  Riot  Gang Related  Person with Gun or Knife  Name some more

8 Pre-planning What are normal conditions? What are the warning signs? What happens when a disaster happens? What is the impact going to be? How is this emergency going to affect us? What is the recovery phase?

10 Who needs a Plan? All employers Less than 10 employees  Does not need to be in writing.  Can communicate the plan orally. All employers must train employees in emergency planning!

11 The Plan Internal Preferred means of reporting an emergency.  What are the procedures for your facility? Emergency escape procedures and route assignments.  Are the procedures and routes posted and practiced? Procedures for employees who stay behind.  You may be one of the people to stay behind to help with patients!

12 The Plan Internal Procedures to account for all employees.  How would you help account for fellow employees? Rescue and medical duties.  As a healthcare provider, you must think about how to help rescue patients! Contact information and job duties.
