Lesson 1 Sports and Competition

Team sports Two or more people work together against another team.

Individual Sports People who play on their own

Teamwork Working with other people during a game or match

Leadership Is the ability to guide other people in an organized and responsible way

Competition The contest between two or more people or teams

Sportsmanship Is the ability to treat all players, officials and fans fairly during competition

Good sportsmanship includes Plays their best at all time Follows the rules even when there is no referee or judge Considers the health and safety of other players Congratulates athletes on both sides for good plays Is gracious in defeat and modest in success
