R E P R O T E D S P E C H E If you want to tell somebody else what Tom said. There are two ways of doing this: I’m feeling sick. 1. You can repeat Tom’s words: (DIRECT SPEECH) Tom said: “I’m felling sick.” Or 2. you can use reported speech: (INDIRECT SPEECH) Tom said that he was feeling sick.
