 The word of God is described in many illustrative ways:  As a light  As a path  As sweeter than honey  As a foundation  As truth

 Psalm 119: Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.

 Psalm 119:9-- How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word.

 And many peoples will come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob ; That He may teach us concerning His ways And that we may walk in His paths." For the law will go forth from Zion And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

 Hebrews 5:12 -- For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you the elementary principles of the oracles of God, and you have come to need milk and not solid food. The basics are milk

 But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil. Constant use is solid food

 Psalm 19:10 --They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold ; Sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb.

 Job 23:12 – “I have not departed from the commands of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread.”

 Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.' "

 John 6:63 -- The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.

 …so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life….

 "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life..
