About LCEF LCEF is a unique ministry-through-investment organization that offers LCMS members the opportunity to invest their money, earn interest, and provide low-cost loans to LCMS churches, schools, and rostered church workers.

Joyful Response Joyful Response is a FREE electronic offering program offered by LCEF. Churches and schools can receive electronic payments directly to their LCEF StewardAccount from church members’ personal bank accounts or StewardAccounts. Joyful Response is a free service. LCEF has no plans of charging for this service.

Joyful Response Joyful Response is… SIMPLE. Electronic payments are automatically transferred on the dates requested. SAFE. No worrying about lost cash or stolen checks.

Joyful Response Joyful Response is… CONVENIENT. Donations and/or tuition payments are transferred directly to the church or school. STEWARDSHIP-MINDED. Electronic transfers create a consistent cash flow for the church or school, and these dollars continually support the ministry of Church Extension.

How It Works Congregation opens a StewardAccount. Congregation completes the Joyful Response enrollment packet and returns it to LCEF. Members fill out form (pictured right) and turn it into the church. Congregation submits information online to Vanco (processing company). Congregation receives payments electronically. The first two steps can be combined into one. If the congregation has a StewardAccount already, they do not need to open a new one.

Make copies of enrollment form and pass them out.
