Title of the Action: Recovery support to the flood affected and continually water logged families of South west Bangladesh Principal Objective: To address the acute emergency needs of the water logging people in the sector of food security Specific Objective: Ensure that targeted communities have access to adequate and appropriate food to uphold their survival and prevent erosion of assets in a manner that fosters early livelihood recovery, reduce vulnerability and uphold dignity

Major Planned Interventions for Food Security Sl No InterventionsPlanned Activities Action for Food Security 1Cash for Training (CFT) HHs13530 HH will be received cash for training. Each beneficiary will receive BDT 700/day for 5 session. So, each HH will receive BDT 3500 in total. 2Cash for Work (CFW) HHs13530 HH will be engaged with CFW. Each beneficiary will receive BDT 175/day and they will work 40 days. So, each HH will receive BDT 7000.

Got work opportunity(Each ben. received BDT 3000 for 20 days) Major Interventions and Achievement on Emergency Support Project( ECHO Water Logging 1 st Phase) Major Interventions and Achievement on Emergency Support Project( ECHO Water Logging 1 st Phase) Following Interventions were implemented for addressing the food security of the affected HH

 Out of total NoB(CFT & CFW)  Already NoB(no. of beneficiary) involved in Cash for work and 395 NoB involved in CFT  - CFW payment done is BDT  (Muslim Aid BDT, DCA/DSK 1500,000 BDT and CA/CCDB BDT)  - Ensuring coordination with DC, UNO, UP offices and other stake holders. 

 - Ensuring compliance to the CFW beneficiary like First Aid Box, Water supply, Shade making at the work place.  - Ensuring special arrangement for the female beneficiaries in the work place.

 - CFT payment is BDT (Muslim Aid BDT, DanChurch Aid DSK & Christian Aid/CCDB will conduct Cash for training in May –June, 2012)  - Training Module developed  - Operational Guideline/SOP(Standard Operating Procedure) developed.  - Ensure compliance for the CFT beneficiaries.  -
