WORLD SERIES HISTORY By : Gavin Greco

WHAT IS THE WORLD SERIES? In a world series there are 5 games. On the last game who ever wins gets the trophy. The world series is a big hit in the U.S.A. the world series was first made in 1903.

PHILLIES VS. RAYS 2008 *In October, 2008 in game 5 it was the Philadelphia Phillies vs The Tampa Bay, Rays. There was a crowd of joy going on. The game started in Oct. 27 but ended on Oct. 29 do to a delay from rain. Happily the Philadelphia Phillies won 4-3.

RED SOX VS. CARDINALS 2013 *In October, 2013 in game 5 it was the Red sox vs. The cardinals. It was a huge game because it was on Halloween. Oct. 31. There was lots of excitement going on in the game. Happily the Red sox got a 6-1 lead.

RAYS VS. GIANTS 2014 *On August , it was a anxious day for the 2 teams. The stadium was crowded of joy. During the game it was a tie and it was crazy. The Giants scored and won the game 2-1.

YANKEES VS. PHILLIES On November , it was the Yankees vs the Phillies. It was lucky for the Phillies because in 2008 they won the world series and they are here again. The crowd was will screams of joy and 100,000 people watching it on TV Yankees won 7-3 sadly Phillies lost. 
