READING - GOALS 86% of all subgroups will be proficient in reading or at least a 10% reduction will occur in the % of students scoring below grade level to meet safe harbor. At least 45 % (315) of the students in grades 6-8 will achieve above proficiency (level 3) in reading according to the state's grading criteria. (28.7%, 196 students last year) At least 45 %(322) of the students in grades 6-8 will achieve above proficiency (level 4,5) in reading according to the state's grading criteria. (36.5%, 250 students last year) At least 80 % of the low 25 and all students will make learning gains In the area of AYP, the 2011 criteria is 86% proficiency in all subgroups.

MATHEMATICS GOALS 86% of all subgroups will be proficient in math or at least a 10% reduction will occur in the % of students scoring below grade level to meet safe harbor. At least 40 % (280)of the students in grades 6-8 will achieve proficiency (level 3) in mathematics according to the state's grading criteria. (35.2% last year) At least 45 % of the students in grades 6-8 will achieve above proficiency (level 4,5) in mathematics according to the state's grading criteria. (35.2% last year) At least 80% of our students will make learning gains. At least 80% of our low 25% students will make learning gains. In the area of AYP, the 2011 criteria is 86% proficiency in all subgroups.

WRITING GOALS At least 95 % of the students in grade 8 will achieve adequate Yearly Progress(level 3.0 or higher) in writing. At least 90 % of the students in grade 8 will achieve a level 4.0 or higher) in writing on the Fl. Writes Exam. All subgroups will maintain their level of performance in writing for the school year. All subgroups improved their performance in writing last year.

SCIENCE GOALS At least 65 % of the students in grade 8 will achieve proficiency (level 3,4,5) in science according to the state's grading criteria. (63% in 2010,54% in 2011) At least 25% of the students in grade 8 will achieve above proficiency (level 4,5) in science according to the state's grading criteria. (16.6% in 2010)

PARENT INVOLVEMENT GOAL Increase the number of Parent Volunteers. Increase the parent academic offerings. We will also maintain an inviting atmosphere that encourages parents to take part in school events. Parent Involvement Coordinator Increase Business and Community Connections Improve SAC Attendance

OTHER GOAL(S) ADVANCED COURSEWORK – Increasing the number of students taking advanced coursework. ATTENDANCE – Currently, a 94% attendance rate. DISCIPLINE – Reduce the number of referrals and suspensions. AVID – 4 sections this year. POSTIVE BEHAVIOR SUPPORT – in the 3 rd year of implementation, we missed being a model school by 4 points. CHARACTER EDUCATION – Code of Honor
