Today I will create an Asian inspired tea cup out of white clay using the pinch pot method. I will decorate my tea cup by carving images that visually mimic vocabulary we studied in this unit. Allow one 50 min. class period to mold cup and foot. Allow to dry completely (could take up to a week). Fire in a kiln. (can add watercolor to piece on their own after firing)
Today I will practice note- taking skills by identifying 25 vocabulary terms or customs we have studied related to Asian art and culture. Day One
