 Most powerful trait?  Love?  Hope?  Generosity?  Or do they fall into on category? = Friendship.

 For my Forth Outside Reading Project I read the book: The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares.

 I had seen the movie prior to reading the book, and I really enjoyed it. This is the movie poster for The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.

 Four best friends with four different personalities.

 The book was a bestseller for teenage girls.

 4 best friends.  Summer vacation.  Best friends since they could remember.  Shopping and discovered jeans that fit all four girls even with the different body sizes. This is Lena

Carmen- Went to visit father in South Carolina. Bridget- Went to a soccer camp in Baja, Mexico. Lena- Visiting her family in Greece. Tibby- Making a documentary and gets mixed in with a sick girl. Also is working at a department store.

 Bridget and Lena.  Bridget was having a problem, Lena was trying to figure it out so she could help her.

 Shows:  Love.  Their friendship is really true.  Friendship in general is very powerful.

 ‘“We’ll figure out how to fix it.”’  “Bridget looked down at the pants, grateful to have them. They meant support and they meant love, just as they’d all vowed at the beginning of the summer, but with Lena right here, right next to here, she almost didn’t need them. Bridget looked up at the sky, and she looked at Lena.” ‘“I think you already did”’ (290).

 Fully shows:  Love.  Friendship.  And how the pants were just a symbol of the connection between them.

 Tibby: Found taking care of a sick girl.  Lena: Shy Greek girl she is and how art is a major part of life.  Bridget: Soccer and attention.  Carmen: loving her parents and the divorce really upsetting her.

 Tibby: Dresses in big and dark clothing.  Carmen: Acts very tough and can handle anything.  Lena: Puts a shy face on.  Bridget: Constant attention. Lacking her mother.

 All value:  Each other  The Pants (their connection).

 Friendship!

 Yes!  Even though they were apart, they still are best friends.  Love for each other Mainly for girls!
