WIROTE KRUAPOO M.S. Graduate Student Mechanical Engineering Thesis: Investigation on Characteristics of the Solar Cooling System

Motivation Solar cooling in many warm climate countries is still not used wildly in spite of being well suited, with a lot of solar resources and high demand of air conditioning. In order to pass the market barriers which currently limit the growth of the solar cooling system, the R&D of the technology should be intensively investigated. Simplified schematic of an example of a solar cooling system [1]

Objectives Analyze the characteristics of the absorption solar cooling system Develop the model which can be used to examine the performance of the system Evaluate the economical potential of the technology References [1] [2] [3] A demonstration solar absorption cooling system in the US [2] A scheme of a Solar Thermal Power Plant (STPP) [3]
