Its methodological approach is once again based on the principle of autonomous learning through the exposure to original material, according to the “ guidelines” given for the English language in- training service courses foreseen for teachers of Infant and Primary school. For teachers

Subtitles in target language The subtitles in English should be considered as the main issue of this project as : It helps teachers achieve their language learning goals; It allows an on-going language practice; It helps the audience understand the gist of the plot and the acquisition of both grammar and idioms.

TV programmes All the programmes were chosen according to the following criteria: To offer a vast range of genres and themes in order to suit any cultural and language needs To integrate the offer within the planning of Il Divertinglese To expose teachers to original language material.

TV programmes The chosen programmes are as follows : Costume fiction Classic fiction Thrillers Fiction commedy English courses

Fiction Costume fiction : the literature support helps comprehension and fosters cultural vision. The language, clear and understandable, fosters the language improvement even at an intermediate level Classic fiction : it’s about Tv fiction already broadcast in Italy.They propose the life and works of historical and literary characters in the original language.

Other types Thrillers - serials taken from novels by well-known authors Fiction commedy – typical English genre and powerful tool for spreading out the British culture English courses – at two levels of competence “ lower – intermediate” and “advanced”

Programme times Two new programmes are foreseen every week : one regarding the language courses and the other one the fiction. Each programme lasts about an hour from Monday to Saturday as follows : -From to From to From to 22.30
