National WGs & Thematic WGs  Chinese PUB  Japan PUB  Korean PUB  Nepalese PUB  Thai PUB

1. NWGs and TWGs 2. New international thematic WG 3. Common PUB catchments and data 4. Synergy of other international programs in Asia 5. PUBlications Discussions

Sub-working groups are formed under National WGs. It is desired the themes of sub-groups would correspond to the 6 thematic themes described in the PUB Science and Implementation plan. Discussion 1 How do you think about the structure of NWGs and TWGs?

Questionnaire 10 New International Thematic WGs  New model approaches and applications to water resources managements (China)  Hydrologic and hydraulic response modeling of natural variations and human impacts (Korea) Proposed WGs  Water resources modeling and assessment (Nepal)  Erosion assessment in ungauged basins (Nepal) Discussion 2 Do you need new international thematic WG and theme?

Climate, Topography, Land use, Water Use, Scale, Available Data etc. are quite different. Knowledge, Information, Methods, Models in Gauged Basins Hydrologic Prediction in Ungauged Basins Trans-Regional Hydrological Models

Questionnaire 11 Is it possible to establish a PUB catchment and to provide hydrologic data? All the countries say yes/possible. Discussion 3 Common PUB catchments and data.  What kinds of Data is requested?  Procedure to provide data?  Condition to provide data?  What organization will take a lead?

Questionnaire 8 Is what national/international committee might wish to be involved in a PUB (M)NWG? IHP Korean National Committee (Korea) ISCIMOD (Nepal) Discussion 4 (Recommendation) Synergy of other international programs in Asia, such as  Monsoon Asian Hydro-Atmosphere Scientific Research and Prediction Initiative (MAHASRI) as PostGAME  Global Earth Observation of a System of Systems (GEOSS) in Asia.  Etc.

Discussion 5 PUBlications  Hydrological Processes Special Issue - AOGS2006 Problem: Publication of “Advances in Geosciences Hydrological Science” will be intended. I need co-conveners, and hopefully would like to have 20 presentations. - APHW2006 Problem: Independent PUB session will not be organized. Joint session with some other relevant international program will be organized.  HSJ?
