Learning Outcomes By the end of this lesson students will be able to Say the meaning of Labour 2. Write about many types of profession 3. Describe what did the Great Prophet say about servant.

Labour means toil, effort, exertion, industry, work.

Some of us work in business

Some in agriculture Some in industry

some in education

Some in games and sports

Effort & toil are keys to success “Allah has said, Which means man gets that whatever he tries.” “Allah has said, Which means man gets that whatever he tries.”

Our Prophet (sm.) used to His own work always. He has said, Your servant are your brothers. You should give them the same food as you eat.

They should be given the dress as you wear. Help them in their work Do not cause them suffer in their work. Show them honour. Their work must be respected

Many poor and helpless persons including women work in our households.

Many children of different age groups are employed as domestic helper. We should behave well with them We should behave well with them

We will show respect and honour to their work and labour. We will assist them in their work. Will not cause any hardship to them or put them misery.

They are human beings like us. They have the same honour and dignity as we have.

This manifests moral value which Islam teaches.

Prophet (sm) has said, “Pay the worker his wages before drying up of his sweat due to toil.”
