Skellig Argumentative/Persuasive Writing

Surely no intelligent person will disagree with me when I say that being educated at school offers all of us the best chance of success in later life. Why can I say this? It is because I am an expert – I have been at school for the past nine years.

Education is important to every one of us. We need to be able to read, to write, to count, to know about our past and to know about the rest of the world. Where is the best place to do these things? That’s right – in a school. Education is a fundamental human right and is essential for the livelihood of future generations. Going to school is the best way to achieve these things.

In school I have learned to work in teams (in subjects like drama); use technology (in IT); develop my thinking skills (almost everywhere) – all things I would not have been able to do as well if I had stayed at home.

When I asked some of my classmates what they thought they all agreed that while they did not like school all of the time, it was still the best place to achieve the important qualifications that will help them follow the careers they want. I also asked my parents and they said:
