Data expressed in numerical terms, counted, or compared on a scale. Examples: Number of arrests for possession of marijuana Number of people admitted to treatment Number of states that have legalized medicinal marijuana

Data that is non-numerical data rich in detail and description Examples Student use surveys Focus groups One-on-one key informant interviews

Antidotal is information gathered based on casual observations or indications rather than rigorous or scientific analysis Examples Stories Personal observation
