Health and Wellness for all Arizonans Background CA WIC Baby Behaviors Project - Focus – Increase breastfeeding & decrease obesity CA WIC TOTT Project - Focus – Increase breastfeeding, decrease inappropriate feeding and decrease obesity

Health and Wellness for all Arizonans Background (cont’d) Arizona WIC TOTT Project – Test revised messages from CA WIC TOTT - Focus – Increase breastfeeding, decrease inappropriate feeding, decrease obesity, and increase retention of children on the WIC Program

Health and Wellness for all Arizonans Overview UC Davis staff will provide: - refresher training on Baby Behavior knowledge and skills - training in Older Infants and Toddlers and messaging to participants -telephone consultation and support via phone/webinars to staff - evaluation, data analysis and reports

Health and Wellness for all Arizonans Overview (cont’d) Local Agencies: - Receive training on Toddler Behavior -Provide Two clinics in their agency that will participate in the study -Help recruit participants to the study

Health and Wellness for all Arizonans Criteria For Participation - Clinic size – 2500 or more *Need 500 toddlers per clinic - No staff overlap between the two clinics - Low staff turnover - Staff allow to be filmed – LMS
