GA IN R ELATION TO THE R EST OF THE W ORLD Georgia is one part of a very large world Georgia is located in the Northern Hemisphere (in North America) Georgia is located in the Southeast region of the United States (north of Florida) The weather is mild, with hot summers and cool winters Map Longitude and Latitude

T HE I MPACT OF C LIMATE ON GA’ S D EVELOPMENT GA has mild climate with cool winters and warm summers The mild climate makes GA both good farming area and a good tourist spot The temperature averages 50 degrees in the winter and 80 degrees in the summer(cooler in the north) Summer is usually hot and humid and the winters are usually short
