Signing in for Training For training purposes only, we will log into TIENET: Page 2

1 st TIENET Home Page Activity Search for the student you have been assigned Add this student to your Caseload, then add at least 1 other student from your school to your Caseload and create and name a Caseload Group with at least 2 of the students Check the various aspects of your student’s Profile and enter some (pretend) Diagnosis Info. Check to see which Documents and files are available (from the drop-down menu) to create for the student.

In TIENET, open the Student Documents drop-down menu and copy the names (abbreviations are fine) of the forms under Documented Adaptations, Program Planning and Reports/Transcripts (IPP) onto sticky notes provided (1 document per sticky) On the NS Program Planning Process chart provided, place each sticky beside the PPP stage where you think the document would be used Hint – some documents may be used at more than 1 stage and each stage may have more than 1 document Page 4 NS PPP and TIENET Document ActivityNS PPP and TIENET Document Activity

Home Page Activity (School-Based Meeting Minutes) Read School Based Meeting (Core Program Planning Team) information provided in your binder (TIENET Training Scenarios page – pink sheet) Create a School-Based Meeting Minutes document based on the scenario - select school of choice for this activity

Stages 1 & 2 Activity Read the case study entitled Emma in your binder (again – pink sheet) Complete Documented Adaptations – Teacher Exploration document (use your assigned student keeping in mind Emma’s profile) Include 2 Specific Adaptations of your choice and complete all fields Set proposed review date to April 20, 2012 Open and attach Strengths and Challenges Worksheet

As a Teacher, create a Request for PPT Meeting document for your student and forward to your school Principal As a Principal, find and subscribe to Request for PPT Meeting Report and open your new Request for PPT Meeting document from the report Change the Document Status to Final Complete Office Use Only section Use TIENET’s built-in Communication System to inform teacher of decision Stage 3 Activity

Create a PPT Meeting Minutes document that reflects a meeting during which it was decided that Emma’s challenges require a Health/Emergency Care Plan document (use your assigned student) It was also decided that Student Special Transportation would be required for her for the year Complete a Referral for Services document for Occupational Therapy services and send to staff member Jeanne Fletcher. Ensure (view) that your Referral for Services Letter has been generated (at the top from drop-down menu next to Select). Ensure (check) that your student Profile shows that this referral has been made (under Services Data). Stage 4 Activity Stage 4 Activity (Again, refer to the case study of Emma)

Stages 5, 6, 7 & 8 Activities Create an IPP document for your assigned student with at least one AIO for one course and one SIO for that course Prepare your IPP document in order for you to create an IPP Report document for your student and complete that IPP Report for Reporting Period 2 Prepare your Documented Adaptation document so that you can complete the Review Results section
