High Point Basics Unit 18, Transparency 91, T292d Most comets are visible only through a telescope, but not Halley’s. People are able to see it without a telescope. Halley’s Comet is special for another reason. It keeps coming back!

In 1682, a man named Halley figured it out. He predicted that the comet would reappear in 1720, and it did! Halley’s Comet will be back in So mark your calendars!
