MEASURING CAPACITY

Customary Customary is a system of measurement we use here in the US. Most of the rest of the world uses the Metric system.

Customary Capacity: cup c. pint pt. quart qt. gallon gal. 8 fl. ounces = 1 cup 2 cups = 1 pint 2 pints = 1 quart 4 quarts = 1 gallon

Mr. Gallon Activity 8 fl. ounces = 1 cup 2 cups = 1 pint 2 pints = 1 quart 4 quarts = 1 gallon

Mr. Gallon Activity

Metric MASS: milliliter mL Liter L 1,000 milliliters (mL) = 1 Liter

CustomaryMetric 1 quart is a little LESS than 1 Liter. 1 Liter is a little more than 1 quart. So, LITERS (METRIC) are a little bigger than our quart (CUSTOMARY).
