Unit 1 – File Management Identify and use a personal computer Manage files and folders Use Word Processing software for data entry Format basic paragraph and document properties

Unit 2 – Spreadsheets and Graphs Identify and use spreadsheets software correctly Use an input device to enter and edit data Insert, replicate and format arithmetical formulae Use common numerical formatting and alignment Manage and print spreadsheet documents Produce and format simple charts Present single and comparative sets of data

Unit 3 – Database Manipulation Identify and use database software correctly Use an input device to enter and edit data accurately Create simple queries/searches on one or two critaria Produce predefined reports using shortcuts Present data in full

Unit 4 - Publications Identify and use the appropriate software correctly Use basic file handling techniques Set up a standard page layout and text properties Import and place text and images files Manipulate text and images to balance page Manage publications and print composite proofs
