A Trip to the West Region By: Ellie B. and Armani M.

Why would you want to go to the West? I don’t know about you but I’d like to go to the West region because in California you can enjoy the sandy beaches in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego. In Oregon you can climb the blue mountains and see over the Pacific Ocean. In Washington you can catch fish or throw stones into the Columbia River. In Nevada you can go to Las Vegas and see the Hover Dam. In Idaho you can look at the Snake river and see the Idaho falls. In Utah you can go to Salt Lake City and see Great Salt Lake. In Montana you can go to Yellowstone Park to relax and enjoy the fresh air. In Colorado you can go to Denver the state Capital and see the South Platte River. In Wyoming you can go to Cody and see the Bighorn River. That’s why I would like to go to the West region.

What Scenery would you expect to see? In California I would expect to see the Sierra Nevada mountains. In Oregon I would expect to see the Harney Basin. In Washington I would expect to see the Cascade River and the Columbia Mountains. In Nevada I would expect to see the Great Basin Nat’l Park. In Idaho I would expect to see the Clearwater River. In Utah I would expect to see the Sevier Lake and the Sevier Desert. In Montana I would expect to see the Missouri River. In Wyoming I would expect to see the Laramie Mountains. Last, in Colorado I would expect to see the dinosaur Nat'l monument.

What to Pack In the West it can be warm or cold. If I was going to go to the West I would pack jeans, sandals, tennis shoes, shorts, a long sleeved top, a short sleeved top, a bathing suit, hiking boots, a (sun)hat, a jacket, a coat, a tank top, a raincoat, and a umbrella and you cant forget a camra.
