Hajj

Order to perform Hajj وَلِلّهِ عَلَى النَّاسِ حِجُّ الْبَيْتِ مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلاً وَمَن كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ الله غَنِيٌّ عَنِ الْعَالَمِينَ and pilgrimage to the House is incumbent upon men for the sake of Allah, (upon) every one who is able to undertake the journey to it; and whoever disbelieves, then surely Allah is Self-sufficient, above any need of the worlds. (3:97)

To Saudi Arabia. Arrival at Jeddah. Immigration. Customs and Hajj Ministry formalities Arrival in Madinah. Travel to Madinah by road or by air.

Mawaqeet.

Niyyat (Intention) Must be to attain nearness to Allah. Must be formed at Meeqat. Ihram being worn is for Umrah or Hajj. Masjid al Shajarah.

Ihram For male – 2 pieces of unstitched clothes. One piece round the waist – navel to knee. 2nd piece should cover both the shoulders arms and considerable part of the back. Women – wear their usual clothes.

لَـبَّيْكَ أَللّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ Talbiyah. لَـبَّيْكَ أَللّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ لَبَّيْكَ لاَ شَرِيْكَ لَكَ لَبَّيْكَ اِنَّ الحَمْدَ وَالنِّعْمَةَ لَكَ وَالمُلْكَ لاَ شَرِيْكَ لَكَ لَبَّيْـكَ “Yes, here I am, O Lord, here I am. Here I am, there is no partner for You, here I am. Surely, praise, grace, and kingship are Yours. There is no partner for you. Here I am.”

COVERING HEAD – MALE DIVING IN WATER – M/F BEAUTIFYING ONSELF APPLYING COLLYRIUM (SURMA) LOOKING IN A MIRROR TOUCHING A WOMAN WITH PASSION BEING UNDER SHADE - MALE TAKING BLOOD FROM THE BODY CUTTING NAILS REMOVING HAIR FROM THE BODY EXTRACTING TOOTH CARRYING ARMS

2nd act: Tawaf of Ka’aba. (1) Niyyat for the purpose of attaining nearness to Allah. (2) State of Wudhoo. (3)Taharat of body and clothes. (4) Males: Circumcised.

Obligations of Tawaf (1) Commence the tawaf at Hajar al Aswad Obligations of Tawaf (1) Commence the tawaf at Hajar al Aswad. (2) Each round completed at Hajar al Aswad. (3) At all times of tawaf, the holy Ka’aba must be to the left of the pilgrim. (4) Must go round Hijr Ismail. (5) Not to touch the walls of the Ka’aba. (6) Circumbulate seven times continuously. (7) Seven rounds much follow each other w/o interruption between them. (8) Tawaf must be performed with the free movement of the pilgrims.

Boundary of Tawaf Tawaf to be performed between the Ka’aba and Maqame Ibrahim. If one is unable to remain within this boundary or it would cause him harm, then it is acceptable to be outside the boundary.

3rd – Namaaz of Tawaf (1) Niyyat (2) Two Rak’at like Fajr prayers. (3) Recite it close to Maqame Ibrahim. (4) If not possible, behind Maqame Ibrahim in the masjid al Haraam. (5) Immediately after tawaf.

4th Saee Niyyat. Seven rounds between Safa and Marwa. Starting from Safa and ending at Marwa. Wudhoo not wajib in Saee but preferable. Allowed to rest between Safa and Marwa.

5th Taqseer Niyyat. To cut some hair of the head, beard or moustache. Not permissible to shave off the head. Near Marwah or at one’s house or at another place. “I perform Taqseer to become Muhil (i.e. to make Halaal for myself whatever was forbidden on me), from Ihraam of Umra-e-Tamattu’, Hajjil Islam, wajib qurbatan ilal-llah.”
