Social Norming Campaign Concept Brooke Adams First Year Experience

Inspiration  Peer to peer communication  Real Life College Stories  CM Life Ad Campaign CM Life Ad Campaign

My Idea  A student-fueled campaign  Use information from focus groups.  Have individuals/groups spotlighted.  Use the older students as examples/mentors.

Print Materials  On the weekends, I go downtown to drink.  But, for real…  See page 70 of design book

Social Media  Facebook and Twitter  Blogging  Youtube/Vimeo  Delicious

Other Promotions  Radio commercials on 91.5  Events  Not promoted as “anti-drinking,” but held on weekend nights (ex. Rave)  And whatever else you can think of!

Brainstorming!  Alternative  Breaking stereotypes/the cycle  Everybody’s doing it (you’re not everybody)  Plus sign (+)  Adding to your life in college  Adding to the experience  Positivity
