Volunteer Day Training August 12-18, 2013

Volunteers The Wyndham Championship has over 1400 Volunteers. We would like to thank all of you for the long hours and the hard work that you give to make the Wyndham a huge success!

Volunteers- Help to impact area charities. We focus on children’s charities. Get to see some really great golf Do some networking while on course Have a good time

Volunteer Credentials/Passes/Handbook Volunteer credentials are a aqua this year and come with a Wyndham Championship lanyard. Volunteers should have their credential displayed at all times. The daily tickets are for a guest. The Volunteer Handbook will be your information to the Tournament. Please take time to read the Handbook and keep it with you when you are on course.

ALL Mobile Devices MOBILE DEVICE POLICY Please silence your mobile device Calls permitted in designated areas only (Concession Areas) No video recording permitted at any time. No photographs permitted after Wednesday. Violations will result in confiscation of your mobile device or removal from the tournament* Be respectful of play * Neither the tournament nor the PGA TOUR shall be responsible for any damage to, or loss of, any confiscated devices.

FOOD Breakfast will be served daily. Monday and Tuesday food will be served 7:00 to 8:30. Wednesday thru Sunday the times will be 6:30 to 8:00. During these times there will be a variety of selections. Afterwards, Volunteers can get a cold drink, hot coffee, granola bar and/or fruit in the tent. Volunteers will need to check in the Cones Health Volunteer Tent with their areas. At that time, Volunteers will give their lunch orders to the person at the check in table. Choices will be hotdog, hamburger, chicken sandwich, or alternate choice for Wed thru Friday. Saturday and Sunday,the hotdog will change to a sausage dog. Volunteer’s lunch order will be brought to the ShotLink tower. Volunteers will walk to the ShotLink Tower which is on the green of every hole to collect their lunch. YOUR HOLE CAPTAIN WILL BE THE ONE THAT YOU COMMUNICATE IF YOU DID NOT RECEIVE YOUR LUNCH ! Monday and Tuesday, Volunteers will be brought into the Volunteer Tent for a hot meal. Snacks will be delivered to the ShotLink Towers and placed in a box underneath the tower. Volunteers may go to the towers to choose a snack. Cold drinks will also be underneath the towers. If there are none at your ShotLink tower, LET YOUR HOLE CAPTAIN KNOW!

Come and join us ! Each afternoon in the Volunteer tent the Dream Team will be serving hot popcorn all week. Freshly Baked chocolate chip cookies AND Cold Hershey Ice Cream will be served Wed thru Sun! The popcorn and cookies are free. The ice cream will be 50 cents. The proceeds from the ice cream sale will go to one Gallery Control Committee and one Shotlink Committee’s favorite charities. The names of the lucky group will be drawn the week following the tournament. The Gallery Control and ShotLink Chairmen will look for the committees that had the most coverage on their holes for the week of Tournament! Now five words-RECRUIT and EAT ICE CREAM!!!!

Volunteer Clothing Volunteer Clothing will be the Polo Golf White Shirt, Wyndham hat or bucket hat, credential, and khaki long shorts, skorts, capris or long pants. Please no demin or cargo pants.

The Wyndham Championship Cordially invites you to The Flip Flop Beach Music Concert At White Oak Amphitheatre On September 7th Gates open at 2:00 Music Starts 3:00 and Ends 9:00 Each Volunteer will receive 1 free ticket. Guest tickets can be purchased for $8.00 each. Tickets will be available at the Clothing Table in the Volunteer Tent. You may use cash or credit card at the Tournament. Ticket may be purchased at the gate, but at the gate, cash only. Bands performing are Swingin’ Medallions, Eric and the Chill Tones, Craig Woolard and The Tams.

Specials for Volunteers Volunteers will receive a packet of discounts and coupons from our Volunteer Sponsors. When you check out at the Volunteer Tent at the end of your first shift, please be sure to receive your packet. Also, the Wyndham Championship is giving a Volunteer that has completed 3 or more days a week long stay at a Wyndham location. Please be sure you get credit for your days. The drawing will be completed after the Wyndham! LAST but NOT LEAST Wyndham is giving a discount to Wyndham locations. You will be receiving the code in an from the database. Please be on the look out for this!
