Volume The amount of space taken up or occupied by an object

Volume Measurement of the amount of space an object takes up – Measured in milliliters (ml) for liquids or cm 3 for solids

Measuring Volume of Irregular solids

Remember If you use water displacement to measure the volume of an irregular solid, your result will be in mL. You MUST state the answer in cm 3 because it is a solid!!!! 1mL = 1 cm 3 so just write cm 3 instead of ml. Example:12.3 mL = 12.3 cm 3
