Where Did You Go? By Christa Barone

I was a kid up until three, Soon after my birthday, something changed me. I was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a cancer, Stage Four, My childhood disappeared, I'd see it no more.

Treatment started in '98, I lost all my hair and lost all my weight. It was time to gear up and prepare for the war, My childhood disappeared, I'd see it no more.

My family never left my side, Through thick and thin, they put all things aside. We never considered giving up, we promised, we swore. My childhood disappeared, I'd see it no more.

My Make-A-Wish dream soon came true, I choose Disney World of course, wouldn't you? I had fun on the trip, but it returned to before. My childhood disappeared, I'd see it no more.

Living more than a week was rare, But look at me now, I'm cured and have hair. My childhood was pried from my being by a monstrous disease, It is clear that my life has been no easy breeze.

My childhood disappeared, I'd see it no more. But please don't feel bad, what's life without war?
