Specifications FLIR A655sc Temp. Range: -40˚C – 650˚C Spectral Band: 7.5 – 14 um Pixel Resol: 640 x 480 Thermal Sensitivity (NETD): 30˚C Image Freq: 50 Hz FOV: 25˚ x 19˚ ad/Assets/ en- US.html FLUKE TiX640 Temp. Range: -40˚C – 650 ˚C Spectral Band: 7.5 – 14 um Pixel Resol: 640 x 480 Thermal Sensitivity (NETD): 30˚C Image Freq: 60 Hz FOV: 30.9˚ x 23.1˚ us.fluke.com/products/infrare d-cameras/tix640-infrared- camera.html#techspecs

FOV – Field of View FoV gives the area that can be measured at a certain distance. Where d is the distance between camera and object, and Θ is the angle of the lens. The actual size of each pixel can be calculate multiplying the distance d and the IFOV of the camera. A good example for this can be found at: ex.html?trck=fov ex.html?trck=fov

Price* FLIR A655sc $19,950 - $26,950 Depending on the lens. FLUKE TiX640 Quote: $28,555 There’s a possibility of getting a discount for being a university. *See attachments

Software FLIR ResearchIR Max Very complete. Many features and good for data analysis. Requires Windows XP, Vista and 7. splay/?id=51371 FLUKE SmartView Seems to be very good too. Allows 3D plotting and histograms. Works for Windows 7 and 8. us.fluke.com/products/all- accessories/fluke-smartview- ir.html#resources Windows 7 seems to work for both software. We should install that one in the computers to try them.

Software - Prices FLIR ReserchIR Max Camera comes with software and allows 4 installations. New version is 4.2 and any 4.X version will be free. It’s hard to know how much a 5.X will be, but for example Version 4 was $6,950. Upgrades around $3,500 (half of the total price) FLUKE SmartView It seems to be free, and also there are apps for androids and iphones.
