WHAT AND HOW? Task: generating a slide show Objectives: showing how the Industrial Revolution has modified and effected the growth of Manchester from different perspectives in different times. Materials: (texts, resources, videos, pictures, articles, Pc, the Internet, teacher’s site) Text types analysed: memoir, novel, essays and articles Methodology: Group work (cooperative and collaborative learning)

WHY? Language skills: listening, speaking, reading, writing, discussing, interacting, public speaking Study Skills and Knowledge: use of literary code, textual structural analysis, critical interpretation of resources, selection of pictures and information, spoken and written production, interaction, discussion, interaction with a foreign school ICT skills: Office,.ppt, Internet surfing,iMovie What to do with the language  Competence: Selecting information and quotes, selecting images
