Paraplegic Paraplegia is a problem with the motor and sensory function, it effects your legs. If it is an extreme cases people cant move there legs at all, but sometimes if lucky they can walk a little. People become paraplegic if they damage they spinal cord, breaking your back can break your spinal cord. Some people are born with a damaged spinal cord and some people live with paralegia the rest of their lives.

Quadriplegic Quadriplegia also known as tetraplegia, caused by an injury or illness results is total or partial loss of use of all there limbs. Mostly caused by damaged to neck or brain, the loss is usually motor and sensory. People can be quadriplegic for the rest of there life's, sometimes diseases such as transverse myelitis or polio or congenital disorders can cause people to become quadriplegic.

Diving accidents Almost 10% of all spinal cord injuries in Australia are caused by diving into shallow water and hitting your head of the bottom can cause immediate death or break your neck or back causing paraplegia or quadriplegia. The spinal cord injuries caused by diving are mostly very severe. Lots of the diving injuries people have had been drinking alcohol.

Quadriplegic’s story On May 28th of 2005 Michael-Ryan Pattison dislocated his neck diving into Lake Chelan. His injuries left him to live a quadriplegic the rest of his life even after multiple surgeries rehabilitation and the worlds best spinal cord injury facilities. Before his injury he used to play many sports and so stuff all 20 year olds do. Michael has started his own foundation called the Michael-Ryan Pattison foundation. he now needs help to do everything, but with help of technology can do some things by himself.
