TECHOLOGY HI, my name is Konstantinos Iordanidis and I want to talk to you about technology. The second half of the 20 th century and the beginning of the biomechanical revolution has been a period of rapid development in science & technology. Scientists and businessmen have been able to develop their discoveries made earlier in the century and put them to practical use.

TECHOLOGY Machines like PCs and calculators help workers handle vast amounts of information more quickly than before. They also communicate rapidly with other offices around the world.

TECHOLOGY British and American scientists discovered the structure of DNA. This knowledge led to the production of new drugs witch help cure serious diseases. In some countries technology made life easier. Many people own washing machines, refrigerators and freezers. Home entertainment is transformed by TVs, videos, music tapes and CDs.

TECHOLOGY The truth is that, 200 years ago, no one would imagine that he would talk to another person over a great distance without sending letters or that he could listen to music without being in a concert. But, today, this is a simple part of our every day life.
