Big Questions How has the U.S. role abroad changed over time (Isolationist to Interventionist)? What were major conflicts the U.S. was involved in and what were major turning points during those wars? What were the causes and consequences of those wars? How did the United States acquire new territory? How did U.S. Presidents affect America’s foreign policy? Which U.S. presidents did the most to affect it? How have treaties and tariffs affected foreign relations?

Example AP Questions: Analyze the political, diplomatic, and military reasons for the United States victory in the Revolutionary War. Confine your answer to the period 1775–1783.
