Working in 44 of the world’s poorest countries Working in the areas of HIV and AIDS, Disability, Health, Education, Secure Livelihoods, Participation and Governance Also supporting disadvantaged communities through our advocacy and campaigns work.

Why go with VSO? You have the opportunity to raise money for some of the poorest people in the world and make a genuine difference to their lives, while taking part in an once in a lifetime trek. VSO provide comprehensive and personalised support in you fundraising and preparation for the trek. You have a chance to visit the people and projects you are supporting which you can very rarely visit independently. For some of our challenges you will be supporting Accenture’s Skills to Succeed Corporate Citizenship scheme. The cost structure operates on a sliding scale so the more money you raise above the fundraising target, the less you personally pay (you could go for as little as your deposit and the cost of your flights). You can extend your time overseas and explore the area independently.

What past participants have said about taking part in VSO Challenge Events.. I have to say that this trek has been one of the most memorable experiences of my Accenture career to date. This is amazing and I would definitely recommend this to everyone” Sri Remala, Consultant, US “This was an awesome challenge! The scenery was amazing and the whole experience was one I will never forget. I am so proud to have taken part in this initiative”. Martin Burkhart, Analyst Programmer, Germany “This is definitely one of the best things I have ever done. I loved every minute, from the fundraising to the summit… so much so that I have already signed up for Everest! I recommend this to everyone.” Nini Mishra, Analyst, UK “One of the best experiences of my life… inspirational. I would recommend this to every Accenture employee, it’s a great leveling experience and you will make relationships that will last your whole career.” Gib Bulloch, Senior Executive, UK
