YOUR TASK Your task as a representative for the local power company is to brainstorm ways that the local community can produce more energy to stop the need for rolling blackouts in the area. You and your team will develop a written proposal for a new power plant that is more environmentally friendly. You will present your proposed power plant to a city committee who will choose the best one.

PROPOSAL / PRESENTATION Your proposal should include an estimation of cost to the city for building this new power plant as well as how much energy it will be able to produce. During your presentation, you will need to show a working model that illustrates how your power plant will generate its power. where it will be placed in or near the city.

GROUP ROLES Engineer – This person is going to be responsible for learning the physics and teaching the rest of the group. Planner – This person is responsible for researching the new site for the power plant after the method for generation has been decided. Architect – This person will be responsible for drawing the designs of the new plant. Presenter – This person will be responsible for creating the presentation for the committee including assigning roles for the presentation.
