ASTHO is in constant contact with federal agencies and the U.S. Congress advocating on behalf of public health priorities  Example: Prescription drug misuse programs span many agencies and organizations: CDC, SAMHSA, HRSA, ONDCP, DOD, NIH, NIDA, FDA, and NGA  Met with more than 90 Congressional offices during March 2013 as part of ASTHO’s Hill Day activities. 8
