Enrollment Management Guiding toward Achievement Mission: To effectively and efficiently recruit, enroll and retain a diverse student body.

Enrollment Management Planning Priority #1 Effectively serve students in a positive, customer- oriented atmosphere. Why the need? Currently enrolled student surveys. Procedure for Priority #1: Provide a customer service workshops for support staff. Implement program to recognize excellent customer service. College Goals: 7 and 12

Enrollment Management Planning Priority #2 Implement a ‘prospective student’ online schedule for campus tours. Why the need? Effectively manage tours on both campuses. Procedure for Priority #2: Design an online campus visitation schedule. Develop a timetable to utilize College Ambassadors as guides. College Goals: 7 and 12

Career & Testing Services Guiding toward Accomplishment Mission: To provide testing for appropriate placement in classes and receipt of the GED. Assist students with career selection, employment preparedness, and job opportunities.

Career and Testing Planning Priority #1 Explore the need for a Comprehensive Assessment Center. Why the need? Approximately 20 programs require certification. Procedure for Priority #1: Survey voc/tech programs for exam requirements. Locate physical space. Determine human resources required. College Goal: 7

Career and Testing Planning Priority #2 Implement Datatel Career Planning & Placement Enhancement Why the need? New feature to improve career and job placement. Procedure for Priority #2: Attend Datatel training. Train staff and implement software. College Goal: 7

Financial Aid Guiding toward Meeting Financial Challenges Mission: To assist students and families in obtaining financial assistance to meet their educational goals by providing a diverse array of aid opportunities.

Financial Aid Planning Priority #1 Conduct Financial Aid workshops for students. Why the need? Improve student understanding and improve customer service. Procedure for Priority #1: Develop an application process handout. Develop a workshop presentation. Present workshop on a semester basis. College Goals: 7 and 12

Financial Aid Planning Priority #2 Improve communications with Veterans. Why the need? Create a positive atmosphere of service. Ensure timely VA payments. Procedure for Priority #2: Develop a handout of VA information. Mail handout to all current VA students. Provide handout during VA intake process. College Goals: 7 and 12

Office of the Registrar Guiding toward Student Success Mission: To provide an effective registration process and to ensure the accuracy and integrity of student records.

Office of the Registrar Planning Priority #1 Train 200 plus faculty and staff to advise and register students with Datatel. Why the need? Preparation for Fall 2005 registration. Procedure for Priority #1: Develop training documentation. Develop training schedule for faculty and staff at both campuses. College Goals: 3 and 13

Office of the Registrar Planning Priority #2 Image pre-1984 student records. Why the need? Old records available at desktop. Records are deteriorating. One combined permanent record. Open up some badly needed office space for SD. Procedure for Priority #2: Index and scan into Matrix. Combine pre-84 transcript if student is current. College Goals: 2 and 3

Academic Counseling Unit Guiding toward Academic Excellence Mission: To offer services to students regarding academic programs and requirements; to intervene and make referrals in an effort to retain students; and to assist in removing barriers that prevent student success.

Counseling Planning Priority #1 Provide Huskins/Concurrent Enrolled faculty workshops. Why the need? Ensure accurate and efficient FTE reporting. Procedure for Priority #1: Develop a HU/CE training manual. Conduct workshops during Fall and Spring In- Service to facilitate faculty attendance. College Goals: 7 and 13

Counseling Planning Priority #2 Improve advising for Distance Learners (DL). Why the need? Retention of DL students. Procedure for Priority #2: Research online advising “Best Practices.” Create DL online advising link to Counseling website. Employ ReadyMinds techniques. College Goals: 5 and 7

Student Activities/Athletics Guiding Students toward Quality Life Mission: To provide a program of student activities and athletics to enhance the quality of the student’s educational experience at CFCC through extracurricular involvement in SGA, clubs and organizations, and intramurals and athletics.

Student Activities Planning Priority #1 Increase Student Activity participation at North Campus (NC). Why the need? Enrich and enhance college experience. Procedure for Priority #1: Surveys the student body. Evaluate survey results. Add events to the NC Activity Calendar. College Goal: 7

Athletics Planning Priority #1 Develop an athletic academic support program. Why the need? Improve retention. Improve individual and team GPA. Improve graduation rates. Procedure for Priority #1: Develop and implement a comprehensive program. Implement an early warning system. College Goals: 1 and 7
