Elder- a general reference to older men The Hebrew equivalent was used to the rulers of Israel The Greek was used in reference to leaders in the church Hebrews 1: But to which of the angels has He ever said, "SIT AT MY RIGHT HAND, UNTIL I MAKE YOUR ENEMIES A FOOTSTOOL FOR YOUR FEET "? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation? Revelation 7:11 And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures;

Tribulation Saints Revelation 7:13-14 Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, "These who are clothed in the white robes, who are they, and where have they come from?" 14 I said to him, "My lord, you know." And he said to me, "These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

12 representatives of Israel (Patriarchs) and 12 representatives of the church (12 Apostles) 4:4- Twenty-four elders 4:10- Twenty-four elders 5:8- Twenty-four elders 11:16- Twenty-four elders 19:4- Twenty-four elders Revelation 21:12 It had a great and high wall, with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels; and names were written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel. Revelation 21:14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundation stones, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

Twenty-four- is a derivative of 12 (number of completion) Used to represent completion 1 Chronicles 24: Chronicles 25: Peter 2:9 But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, Revelation 1:6 and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father Revelation 5:8-10

V.4- Twenty-four elders sitting (on the thrones) 2 Timothy 2:11-12 It is a trustworthy statement: For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him; 12 If we endure, we will also reign with Him; Luke 22:28-30 "You are those who have stood by Me in My trials; 29 and just as My Father has granted Me a kingdom, I grant you 30 that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel. Revelation 2:26-27 'He who overcomes, and he who keeps My deeds until the end, TO HIM I WILL GIVE AUTHORITY OVER THE NATIONS; 27 AND HE SHALL RULE THEM WITH A ROD OF IRON, AS THE VESSELS OF THE POTTER ARE BROKEN TO PIECES, as I also have received authority from My Father;

V.4- Clothed in white garments White- symbol of purity and righteousness Revelation 3:4-5 'But you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their garments; and they will walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. 5 'He who overcomes will thus be clothed in white garments; Revelation 3:18 I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed;

V.4- golden crowns on their heads Crowns (Stephanos)- The victors crown 2 Timothy 4:7-8 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; 8 in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing. James 1:12 Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. Revelation 2:10 'Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, so that you will be tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

Church at Philadelphia Revelation 3:10 'Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Revelation 1:6 and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father- Revelation 4:10-11 Revelation 5:8-10 Revelation 5:14 Revelation 19:4
