The History of Education In the United States

Thomas Jefferson said... “Whenever the people are well-informed, they can be trusted with their own government”. He believed that we should have an educated population in the United States to make our nation successful...sadly it was really only the men they wanted to educate...

The video picks up education in 1837 but there was a lot prior to that...you will be making a timeline of the American Education System. Research at least 8 events in the history of American Education PRIOR to Choose at least TWO events from the 1600s, TWO events from the 1700s, TWO events from the 1800s and TWO events from the 1900s that had a significant impact on the development of the American Education System. You will need to illustrate 4 of the individual events.
