A Power Point Tutorial Inserting Clip Art, Pictures and other Content Clip art, pictures, videos, tables and other content are important in a Power Point presentation. These graphics can drastically change the appearance of your presentation and communicate information visually. 1By LaCoya Eaton and Green Team Members- Bill Clements and Peter Gallegos

Inserting Clip Art, Pictures and other Content 1) On the Home ribbon click on the New Slide button or the drop down arrow besides Layout. 2) Choose a slide layout such as Title and Content. 3) You will then be given the option to select a content icon to insert onto your slide. To select clip art click the clip art icon, bottom row of icons in the middle. Power Point offers numerous ways to add clip art, pictures and other content. One of the easiest methods to add content is with a slide layout that contains “place holders” for clip art, pictures, videos, tables and other content. 2By LaCoya Eaton and Green Team Members- Bill Clements and Peter Gallegos

Once you have clicked the clip art the clip art gallery will appear. Here you can search for an image that you would like to insert onto your slide. To search for an appropriate clip art image type your description in the Search for box and then click the Go button. Clip art samples will appear. Scroll through the thumbnail image either double click on the image or click once to select the image and then click the OK button. Inserting Clip Art, Pictures and other Content Note: Once your Clip art appears you can resize the image using the Corners. Drag the mouse to enlarge or make image smaller. 3 By LaCoya Eaton and Green Team Members- Bill Clements and Peter Gallegos

Another method to add content such as photographs to select the Insert button on the ribbon. 1) Click the Picture icon. By default the My Pictures folder will appear. 2) Search through your pictures and select the one that you like to insert onto your slide by clicking the thumbnail image. 3) Click on the Insert button. Note: If your pictures are located somewhere else on your computer, use the drop-down arrow at the end of the Look in box and find the folder containing your pictures. Once your picture has been inserted into the PowerPoint slide, you may edit the picture using Picture Tools link above the ribbon. Most pictures can look better by cropping unnecessary elements, resizing the picture and other numerous options. Inserting Clip Art, Pictures and other Content 1) Click on the picture to select it. 2) The Picture Tools link will appear above the ribbon. 3) Click the Picture Tools link to reveal all of the picture options. Note: To move the picture to a new location, hover your mouse over the center of the picture. The mouse pointer becomes a four headed arrow. This is the move arrow in all graphic programs. 5 By LaCoya Eaton and Green Team Members- Bill Clements and Peter Gallegos
